TWO fun medental summer publications were graced with my thoughts this summer, and one came with a surprise cameo photograph. Holla.
During the first week of class this year, I came home on a regular Tuesday afternoon and started browsing through the strangely-over-sized ADANews, which is sent to dentists and dental students across the country. Insta-procrastination. I can guarantee that few of my peers are dorky enough to actually read through this newsmagazine. I’m glad I persevered until page 18 (of only 23) because there was MY MUG in the middle of the page, along with a bloated quote. Wouldn’t you know it, but the same angry-looking portrait didn’t make it to the web-version of the story. Ah, well.
Another (more exciting) publication was created by my brazen, progressive, smarter medical school friends to indoctrinate orient the incoming 1st year students about the political atmosphere of Harvard Medical School and general state of progressive healthcare/reform today. If you go to page 12, I have one of the least impressive entries by far, but I stand by the work and would be impressed if anyone ever read it.
