How to drink 9.5 gallons of Homebrew in one night

1. Host a party on an obscure holiday that is only promoted and understood in about 3 states: Sweetest Day. I never knew that most Americans have NO idea this day exists! How sheltered I’ve been!

2. Brew up two particularly charming batches of seasonal ales, Pumpkin and Amber, that are timed properly to be ready for this obscure-holiday-party. Excellent work, Jon!

3. Promote said Homebrew to the extent that ZERO party-guests bring beer with them. NOT ONE! Jon took this as a very serious beer-compliment. Instead, we have about a dozen bottles of generously presented wine to indulge in over the next few months, which will certainly ease the beer-mourning.

4. Provide beer-friendly FOOD, such as Jon’s amazingly tasty pork-chicken-chili and various baked and bacon-wrapped fare. This likely contributed to both attendance AND beer consumption per person.

5. Upon the final drops of the two featured kegs, samples were immediately offered of the next round of Mr. Greene’s Homebrewonders, such as Fresh Hops Ale and Wheat. He’s a very efficient bar-keep and likes to keep the guests’ thirst quenched.

Summarizing such a delightful party is FAR more engaging than cleaning up after it. Regardless, I’m already Iooking forward to the next GreenEvent - possibly a Holiday Open House?
