Tonight Jon and I had the pleasure of visiting a co-worker and his wife who just had their first child 8 DAYS ago. Meet Lily, and her mama Jamie. Adorable. Congrats Jason and Jamie! As soon as she’s potty-trained, we’ll happily babysit. Heehee.
I really don’t remember the last time I’ve interacted with such a young child. Probably not since my cousin Billy and wife Emi had their first son a few years ago. Those same cousins JUST welcomed a second child: beautiful MALIA - how cool is that name?! How BEAUTIFUL are these people, just hours after their family grew by 33%?!
So wonderful, and everyone is healthy and happy and probably very very very tired. :)
Jon and I’s collective family tree happens to be growing very symmetrically this year, since a cousin on his side is also expecting anytime now. Their family is already four (see photo), and will very soon be five strong! Good luck Erin and Mike! Can’t wait to meet the latest edition.
Other friends, Alisa and Cyrus, recently welcomed their second little one - and we hope to meet her sometime before she can read (not like that won’t be next week or something ;) The photo below depicts the little Jane and not-so-little-anymore Liam, who seems to be taking quite nicely to the new responsibilities of Big-Brotherdom.
Just for a fun trip down memory lane, here’s the same Big Brother and I rocking out at Jon and I’s wedding. He was a dynamo on the bowling alley carpet - true skill.
