During the madness of wedding planning in 2008, I made more online purchases than ever before in an effort to save time, save moolah, and just be all modern about things. I distinctly remember ordering personalized M&M’s and being SO annoyed at how instantly consumer-crazed I had become and how I would NEVER waste money on such a thing if I were truly thinking clearly (incidentally, they were GREEN and said, “Jon and Colleen - going Greene!” - HILARRRIOUS or, so I thought.).
Alas, I wondered if ANYONE out there might have a promotional code posted on their website that I could use to take the sting off this frivolous bill. It was like hastily jumping off a (series of) bridge(s), but hoping that at least the water would be a satisfactory temperature to envelop my impulsiveness more comfortably… the crash is still brutal, but it’s nice to imagine you’re lessening the fall somehow…
THANK GOODNESS for this site, which provided me a code for free shipping on those precious M&M’s and enabled MANY future online purchases without quite as much stinging guilt. Just takes a bit of the edge off - and it’s a site that keeps on giving! The more obscure your shopping site of choice, the better, because it’s less likely the proprietors have yanked the code out of their repertoire. For example, the folks at www.framingsuccess.com became $18 LESS rich, when I was able to get a sweet X% off code and save some loot in ordering Jon his first ever college diploma frame as a birthday present last week! BOO YAH.
Who doesn’t love outright saving money with nearly zero work involved? I mean, really. You’d think I didn’t have a job. ;)
