I had a super duper fun week rotating through the Department of Dentistry at Children’s Hospital Boston. We saw work done in the operating room and in regular operatories, while getting to know the residents, assistants, attendings and extremely interesting families of their special dental patients.

I am starting to get really excited about the possibility of applying for a residency in pediatric dentistry. Especially at a place like Children’s, it’s hard not to feel enamored with their focus on quality improvement, diverse range of patients’ needs, and rigorous schedule that’s guaranteed to train you very well to handle anything.

This week started with a HUGE day of success in residency placements for friends across the country. I’m almost ready to dive in and see what’s in store for me in 2013.
